just got done working a 13 hour day and i am pooped. watched a little lost and i still can't figure what the hell is going on on that island. anyway. thought i would update since i haven't in a while. the wife an i were discussing the issue of books that the public schools are talking of banning and the only thing i can think of is "wow it's great to live in a throw back of nazi germany society." i don't know what happened to our first ammendment rights but freedom of speech was one of them i thought. wanting to ban books is the stupidest thing i have heard of. if you give two different people the same book have them read it and then have them write a essay on the book you will get two completely different essay's. people give meaning to books not books giving meaning to people. anyway thats my rant for the evening.

the weekend is almost upon us (this is the hell ya part). its been such a long week so far but at least its almost over now. aside from a wedding to attend i don't have anything else on my plate for the days off. i think i will relax a little. anyway me chums i better go.

sorry i haven't updates in so long but the last couple of days have been really busy. we finally finished up the house we were working on in the mountains and have been working 9 - 10 hour days trying to get the house in town done so we can get on to the next project. i feel like a bad father because i have been neglecting my truck projects. if i ever get some free time i will get to paint the roll cage on my toy so i can start driving it and enjoy the sunshine we have been having.
in other news aliens invade planet earth.
i hate it when i sit down to write and can't think of anything. when i'm at work i have all kinds of crazy stuff going through my head then i touch the keyboard and blah my mind goes blank. some interesting things did happen friday at work though. i managed to shoot myself in the index finger with the nail gun through two 2x6 boards. i hurt like a mother fucker. i was dancing around on the ladder swearing like a sailor and my boss's were laughing at me as it wasn't any serious type injury. then about twenty minutes later i stood up under a truss and scraped my fore head. that didn't feel particularly great either so i beat the offending board senseless with my framing hammer. i felt a little better after that. on a funnier note the first day we were at the job site we were talking to the general contractor who is also the developer and i managed to pop off with "this shit is heavy as fuck." while lifting some boards out of his truck. bryce and dustin both had horrified looks on their faces and after the general left they reminded me that i need to watch my p's and q's around him. they informed me that he is a bishop of the local lds church. the funny part was an hour later he pops back in to drop off some other stuff and he was showing something the concrete crew did to bryce and as he's pointing to the corner of the driveway in the garage he says "i don't the what the fuck the they were doing here." after he left i was laughing so hard i almost fell off the roof. i was an interesting day. well i think i've probably poked your minds enough for now so i'm out.

so i have been up for about an hour now and i am trying to get ready for work. we pulled a 10 1/2 hour day yesterday so i am still a little tired. well i must finish my coffee and get headed out. i hope everyone has a good day.

i am so tired. i just pulled a 9 1/2 hour day trying to finish framing a monster of a house in the mountains above inkom. so far this project has been nothing more than a pain for the most part. but hey everyday can't be perfect i suppose. i hope to have some pictures of the house were workin on posted soon so keep an eye out.
i have to be to work eary tomorrow so hopefully we can get this house finished.
in other news i got to go fishing last weekend. i grabbed my pal russ and we headed out around 9:00 am. by 9:05 we both had started in on a couple of frosty cold ones to get the day going properly (now remember we were fishing). we hit the fishing hole by 10:15 and on russ's first cast he snagged a little rainbow. just as he was getting it to the bank it got off the hook. i cast out a couple of times and finally landed a nice brook trout. we fished for a couple more hours then decided to go trail runnin to see what trails are opened and which ones are still closed. we hit about 6 different offroad trails and only 3 were open. guess we'll have to wait until memorial day for the rest to open. we finaly ran out of beer and decided to head home around 9:30 pm. all in all it was a good weekend. well i gotta go so i'll have to entertain your brains more laterz.

so it's been awhile since i posted anything at all. so i'll bring everyone up to speed. about three weeks ago i quit my job and went to work building houses. the first week went pretty well but the weather turned off shity for the next two weeks so we have been working kind of strange hours. basicaly we work for a couple hours and then it starts snowing and we wind up having to quit for the day. here are some pics of the house that we just did the trim and the house that we are framing right now.

Since Larry spends all of his time not doing LJ things, I'm updating for him! La la la la lalalalalala.
So, basically, Larry has been buying spray-paint and occasionally using said spray-paint to make his '56 look like a reputable machine. He spent some time decorating his garage so that its a haven for the male-type species, complete with nekkid ladies and pictures of big trucks.
When not in the garage, tinkering, he is playing Tales from Symphonia.
When not in the garage, or playing the Nintendo, he is ravishing his smart, talented, awesome, and outrageously good-looking wife.
Oh, and I made his journal look less sucky. See how awesome I am? Uh, yeah.
